sable is on her fourth career change since her death thirty years ago so suffice to say she's in a bit of a slump. she couldn't test well enough to enter the angel academy, didn't have the heart to make it through demon boot camp, and had such terrible bedside manners that she was fired and subsequently banned from ever attempting to be a psychopomp ever again. becoming a fully certified reaper is her last shot at ever making something of herself in her afterlife, so she's determined to see it through...
